WR-25XP X-Band Dual Pole and Doppler System

The WR-25XP with its unique price/performance ratio is the flagship of the ELDES X-Band mini radar family.

With simultaneous dual polarization and Doppler capabilities, it is the ideal instrument for demanding hydrometeorological applications such as civil defense and research.

With its small size and light weight, the WR-25XP can even be installed on a light trailer for quick transportation to areas of hydrological risk or densely populated areas for civil defense.

The ability to build virtually unlimited cluster networks provides a mosaic that integrates all data collected in the network.

The latest technology, low installation effort and low operating costs offer an attractive alternative to large radars with high running costs.

A powerful Linux workstation, in the radar control center or close to the radar itself, processes the polar data of the three-dimensional rooms with all the recorded events of one or more systems. The result is the generation of a large number of reflection and Doppler products, which are normally only provided by much more cost-intensive weather radar.

Thanks to dual polarization, the measured parameters allow a reliable classification of hydrometeors into rain, snow and hail. At the same time, Doppler processing enables immediate measurement of the turbulence velocity vectors.

The results are immediately available to non-experts via an intuitive graphical interface, the Metranet2. The data and weather maps produced can even be displayed by ELDES or third party WEB clients. The WR-25XP can be installed autonomously on site and transmit pre-processed data via remote control.
